The American Zionist Movement is the American affiliate of the World Zionist Organization, comprised of American Zionist membership organizations that span the political spectrum from right to left and encompasses all the streams of Judaism. AZM also appreciates the support provided by direct members. The American Zionist Movement, Chicago Region is the umbrella organization of the Zionist membership organizations and the voice of unified Zionism in the greater Chicago area. We are a Zionist resource for our constituent organizations as well as for the Jewish and general community. Our programs include Say It In Hebrew Ulpan, Shalom Shlichim, Herzl Exhibition, Purim Connection, Scholar in Residence Program, Vigil for Israel, celebrations of Yom Ha'atzmaut and Yom Yerushalayim and more.

The American Zionist Movement is founded on the Zionist principles that Jews the world over are one People -- joined by a common history, heritage and destiny with Israel at its center and to motivate American Jews to give those principles significance in their lives through education and direct personal involvement in Israeli society through activities such as extended visits, study, volunteerism, advocacy or aliyah.
